Was looking for a general feedback thread but seems you have to start a new one.

Worked on this one over the xmas period. Mixed on headphones so would like someone to listen on monitors and tell me the flaws.

Is the second drop too hectic? Do i need to remove some elements. How does the over all track flow.

Main drums are from December pack “Buunshin purple break”

      Appreciate any feedback!

Looking to get mastered. this would be the first time I’ve had anything mastered, so how do i need to send across to engineer and who’s good for Dnb?

      Nothing of interest here.

Oyy bruv , i’m here for you 😉

track has a lack of percussion imo
i’d definately change that snare , because it’s mostly annoys my ears .
low end is clashing with kick imo , do you saidchain?
mid range basses are in the background mix
second track part is better 😉 these vocal chops are drowning in the mix , lift them up and pan 😉 add some stereo field to it
sound fx are really nice 😉

i can help you with the mastering if you want 😉

also if you have some more questions go ahead 😉 no probs gonna answer as i understand 😉

nice track , keep on working 😉 because with practice everyone gets better 😉

Lack of percussion. interesting alright ill go in and add some more there then. Seems to be people don’t like that snare! Got some side chain will adjust the setting on it though. Really struggle to hear if its clashing or not! Will go in and adjust these things thanks man, will be a nice touch with the panned vox i reckon. thanks again! Yeah you got a site for mastering!?

that noise at the intro caught my ears off guard for sure.

Feel like your kick could have a bit more weight to it. And a bit more of a build up to show the difference between intro/drop 😀

i like the stabby lead thing. Reckon a nice atmosphere/pad would tie this together nicely! Would like to see the next WIP 😀

Hi Senz, your track. Nice idea and good arrangement. defo needs a mix down to get everything in the right band shelf. I think this will change the character of the snare and possibly redeem it. do you use high and low pass filters to get rid of excess rumble and fizz from all your mid range elements (the stuff that ain’t drum or bass).

      Overall great work though mate

listening on aventone mixcubes and Audio Technica R70s and M70s. Sounds great. Snare is very fatiguing. First half needs some A/B action its a bit samey. Almost there. Some background noises could use some more presence, just a tad. Second half is better but your openhats could use more gain. Oh yeah second half is fire. More attitude. Try and tease these elements in the first half and voila second half is a rewarding payoff to the listener. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Senz, Some great ideas here, really like the overall vibe and mood! However I do feel like the bottom end is overpowering everything and the mid bass sounds pushed back. Also the fills sound like they could be louder, play more of a bigger role. This would also help break up the main snare which I have to agree with is the most dominant aspect to this track and at times fatiguing. Overall this is some great work. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the awesome feedback everyone! Lots of constructive feedback.

Listening back now that mix down is a little whack. But its all about learning.

Much love to SG crew <3
