        This is really nice Matt!

All sounding wicked. Only subjective feedback might be on arrangement. The drop sounds more like a roll out / wind down section.

From 1min40 the 4 bars after there are immensely satisfying, The groove, the bass… awesome.
could dropping here be something to try out?
Then later rolling into what is the drop now before the breakdown.

The section from 1.30 is nice too. When the top perc has come in it all just sounds much more complete.

You are trying to make a progressive tune and that’s dope, but maybe we start on a place of higher energy and move it on even more… Why not impress your listeners right away and then just keep on upping it….

      Hi SG,

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! I’ll try that idea out, thanks for the example. Feels like it needs to hit hard and continue as the roll out section that was the drop pulls the energy back too much I think. Many thanks SG, I’ll send a version based on your suggestion. Thanks, Matt.

      Hi SG,

I’ve developed your arrangement idea. I think it has more energy at the first drop now.

It’s working better than your V1, but perhaps a few too many new elements are coming in in short order?
House preference would be closer to the edit we did if your parts, for the first 16 after the drop at least.
The mix on this latest version is better though with some nice sounds.

Don’t be afraid to find a killer groove / riff and ride the f**k out of it for a long while.
Too much changing and new sounds flying in can diminish the effect of this music rather than add to it.

Perhaps if anybody else reading this would like to offer feedback on these versions that would be helpful 🙂

      Yes Matt, sounding really nice!
Only subjective feedback might be that the vocal repeats too often and too the same.
Perhaps something more creative could be done with it and appearing slight less often…
Maybe a more loopy techno-esque chop of a single syllable might be worth exploring in places.
      Purely subjective though.
Awesome tune, awesome mix! Well done 😀
