For our May challenge, we will do a user submitted sample pack and then create tunes using that.
Sample submission will go from now until end of April.
To try and keep things a little orderly, please try and name your samples like this:
type_name_key/tempo(if any)_artist
So if I had a snare that I made called “little fuck” (and yes, that will be in the pack), I would name it like this:
snare_littleFuck_C3_shrike
This will help with organization in the final pack. I can help edit the names, but please, help me out!
When you have your samples ready, or even if just trickling them in, pls email me at

I will collect them all by the start of May, and issue the pack via a dropbox link here in the forum.
We did this last year and it was pretty great, I have ppl telling me they still use some of those samples.
I anticipate that this year it will be even better, the quality of the Sample Genie collective keeps improving all of the time!

Ok genie weenies, as promised I have put together the user-submitted sample pack and it can be downloaded from here:

This pack includes 156 audio samples and 9 Serum presets, plenty of weaponry to get something grafted and crafted for this challenge.
The guidelines for the challenge are: use this kit to build a tune, either partial or full tune. You can use other samples, synths, etc, I’m not trying to shake up anyone’s work flow too much, but try and lean heavily into this pack to create something AWESOME.
Big up to our sample contributors: Ransom, Fake, Impex, Merkury, and yours truly, the friendly neighborhood Shrike.
btw – some of my presets will require the wavetable I included in the presets folder, and I think you just need to copy the whole folder (called “Massive 3-Analog-Electric – N4N4KI”) to the root of your “tables” Serum directory. If you need help with this just let me know.

Hi all,
I personally have something started for this challenge, but I haven’t touched the DAW in a few days (VERY strange for me), as my country is burning and hurting. History is happening for the US right now, and it seems to be moving to a global scale.I would like to respectfully request a delay on this deadline…pushed to next month.

Harry, got some old school swagger and imperfection in the feel of this, nice work.
