      Hi SG

I don’t know if this has been covered before but I have never sent my tracks to labels before as I have never been happy with the results till now.
What state do the tracks need to be in before sending demos i.e
Is a pre-master sufficient or does it need to be mastered?

      Thanks in advance 🙂

I think the general vibe, because of the level of competition, is: as polished as possible.

Master/No-master-only-mix are starting to blur together, I know of many artists who do not “master” in the traditional sense, but the tunes come out polished from mix as though they were mastered”.

Just make it as good as it can be. More than most other genres, dnb is so reliant on engineering that if it falls down in too many engineering linchpins, it will be dismissed.

      hope that helps

        Thanks man 🙂

Yeah, I always try to make my tunes sound as full as I can when I’m bouncing them down and testing them on different systems.
