Hi Sample Genie, this is the new theme that I started doing yesterday. I want to ask for feedback and some tips. This is my first time doing this subgenre. I will be grateful for any advice. https://soundcloud.com/user-524986933/volt-age?si=9c0c7a2d79994998b18054cb8fe7b34c&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Sounding good! Lots of atmosphere and tension and the general layout of the frequencies is nice..
Firstly – looks like your export may have gone a bit wrong?

This style of track is all about evolution. Progressing the tune in a logical but surprising way to build the listener up and keep their attention.
As it stands it’s not that much of a dancefloor track, but it could be taken there from this point if that’s what you wanted.
Or you can keep it in this style and work on progression: new layers, swapping in / out of rhytmic parts / textural changes. Rillium’s video might be helpful in giving some ideas for this…

That would be the advice: keep working on a progressive arrangement.
      Nice work!

Yeah man checked out the tune I think it needs some stabby lo mid bass to create groove but I do like how it evolved over time keep at it

Hi, thanks for the advice. Yes, I’m thinking now that there is no mid-bass at the beginning. No rise. I can’t figure out how to make it more danceable. I’m afraid I’ll break the dark atmosphere in the background.

There’s always ways to get the dark vibes experiment with different versions so you can go back if nee be but have a jam session with these darker elements then plug and play
