I’m starting my physical modular because of this app.
Starting with a Waldorf Wavetable generator & a Rossum Morpheus z-plane filter. Those and some basic LFO’s, mixers, mults, and generators, and I’m happy for awhile.
The combos and potential for unique sounds are insane.
Listen for yourself:
Morpheus (so….good)

,shrikeParticipantFinally getting around to knocking some more of these out, this one being for my man Suspect.
And Ben, hit me up at the gmail addy I posted earlier in this thread.

,shrikeParticipantSUSPECT it’s gonna happen soon. I have been putting your art off the longest. Gonna. Happen.

,shrikeParticipantAnd I would imagine you didn’t get “lucky”. I would imagine that you and your cohort worked yer asses off to make the best art you could, and then were, I suppose, fortunate to have it noticed.
I would imagine…

,shrikeParticipantAlso, Mixbus, which is a very capable DAW that is getting better all of the time, is currently on sale for $19 USD (yes I am a yank). I have the 32C version, which sounds friggin incredible.
If you’re looking for a DAW upgrade over the more entry-level stuff, for not much cheddar, MB is a solid option.

,shrikeParticipantBitwig is super duper. The ease of assigning multiple types of modulation to any plugin parameter, all within a short reach, is worth the price of admission alone, especially if you like to work fast. For sound design it opens a whole new world.
These days I am often designing in BW, and then arranging in Studio One, which I also recommend.
I’ve seen sale prices on full Bitwig as low as $99, so if you’re a bit skint then you might wait for a good discount to get into it.
Also, if you’re mixing on headphones, Sonarworks Reference 4 is an absolute must, IMO. I just installed it, and now my ears can finally ‘see’ clearly. I should have gotten it a long, long time ago, and it would have saved me a lot of headache and second guessing.

,shrikeParticipantNo I get it, man. I’m just listening the way most other would!

,shrikeParticipantNice tune! Great laidback vibe while still being thick.
I made a few comments on soundcloud based on what I hear through my consumer earbuds at work.

,shrikeParticipantYou bet. I am hitting Faraday’s next, then Suspect, and then I’ll fit you in the queue after that.
I promise I will get to all of you, I’m never ignoring or purposefully delaying, I just stay very busy. But it will happen, I’m happy to do this for you guys.

,shrikeParticipantOk bro-bros, I’ve got the first version of DT’s album art+logo, and I want to share it with all of you so that you can get a sense of what might be possible.
Big ups to DT who took my initial “sketches” and gave great feedback, and then provided a fantastic concept for me to work from. I work best with a little creative fuel, and it helps in getting you guys a final product you will be happy with.
